Bedbugs are causing misery to many New Yorkers, but city health officials have been slow to respond. "We met with the city agencies and they did nothing," Council member Gale Brewer tells NYCityWatch. Under her prodding, legislation was passed that required the city to create a bedbug task force to do research and recommend further action. The Bloomberg administration has nine months to come up with a plan - a long wait for anyone afflicted by bedbugs....
